Week 4: July 13-July 17

Day 1: The first day of camp is always filled with excitement for what a new week will bring. Our younger campers explored mud and looked for different colors while hiking. The older campers become hydrologists at the pump well, and brought nature inside to get an up-close look at it through the micro-eye.

Day 2: Campers are finding fun ways to beat the heat this week. They are staying in the tree’s shade, building houses with lots of windows for airflow. And of course, the summer time classic of running through the sprinkler, with a popsicle treat after.

Day 3: It is a requirement of camp to climb logs and look for birds and bugs. Campers learn to use tools like binoculars, dip nets, and field nets to help look for some of the wildlife around the nature center.

Day 4: Camp had to be moved inside to keep everyone safe. Even though camp looked a little different campers still had a blast.
