Family Friendly Fishing Event 2026
Join us on select Saturday or Sunday mornings to discover what lies below the surface of our pond! Participants have the option of bringing their own equipment, or borrowing from what the Nature Center has to offer. Enjoy a morning of fishing with family and friends at the Johnson Nature Center. From 10am to noon, come see what lies beneath the surface during the summer months and engage in some activities that highlight the fishing experience. A limited supply of poles are available to check-out during any fishing session; bait will also be provided. You will need to pre-register to ensure space as this is a popular event!
General Fishing Guidelines:
Fishing is prohibited unless visitors are registered for a fishing program.
Canoe Rentals
Join us to rent a canoe on the pond. Enjoy a quiet day rowing about, soaking in the sun and nature.
Canoe rentals are available in the summer when the Visitor Center is open.
Visitor Center ~ August Hours:
Open from 10am - 5pm the first Sunday of each month, and on Saturdays for the remainder of the month. Closed holidays.
Dates: August 2, 8, 15, 22, 29
Cost: $20/hour
Rental availability is based on staffing and weather.
