Nature Center Camp Recap: A Wild and Wonderful Week Outdoors🌲🐾🎨🐸🦉🔥🛶

This week at the Nature Center has been nothing short of magical! From our youngest Forest Friends to our adventurous Wilderness Elementary Explorers, campers filled the woods with curiosity, laughter, and discovery. Here's a look at all the nature-powered fun we shared:

🌿 Early Childhood: Forest Friends in Action

Our littlest explorers spent their week connecting with nature through hands-on play, sensory learning, and joyful discovery. Each morning, they gathered in our outdoor classroom, where imaginations bloomed and muddy hands were welcome!

Highlights of the week included:

🔍 Forest scavenger hunts, where campers searched for leaves, feathers, bugs, and other natural treasures
🌳 Tree hikes and storytelling walks that brought the forest to life
DIY walking sticks, personalized with nature finds and campers' creativity
🦉 Owl pellet dissections, where our brave young scientists uncovered tiny bones and learned about food webs
🌊 Dip netting in the pond to investigate aquatic critters up close
🐾 Animal tracks & scat activities (lots of giggles with that one!)
🥄 Mud kitchen magic and open forest exploration, where play and curiosity took the lead
🍋 And a refreshing lemonade day celebration to wrap up a week of friendship and forest fun!

We’re so proud of our Forest Friends for jumping into each experience with wide eyes, open hearts, and a love for the wild world around them.

🌲 Elementary Camp: Wilderness Explorers in Training

Our elementary campers hit the ground running with ice breakers, nature journals, and a camp-wide introduction to our values through the FROGS acronym:
